#003 | Pipe Organ of the Church of the Nossa Senhora da Encarnação Sanctuary
Leiria District

Built in 1812/1813 by Joaquim António Peres Fontanes and modernized by Manuel Ferreira dos Reis from Porto, by order of Bishop D. José Alves Correia da Silva in 1944, it was initially placed in the Cathedral of Leiria. It was transported and installed in the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Incarnation in 1995 after restoration by the organ builder António Simões. It is a chamber organ, fully mechanical, composed of 2 full stops and 4 half stops for the left hand and 6 half stops for the right hand.
